Jireh International Academy (JIA) is a private training establishment (PTE) registered by the NZQA (edumis number 7567) in 2005. Jireh is a signatory to the New Zealand Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of international students. Jireh offers technical training (in boatbuilding and carpentry) and English language instructions to international students. Since its founding it has served the Asian community with most of its students being Chinese and Korean. Its graduation rate is 98%. Its successful placement rate over four years is 80%.

Jireh is now registered with NZQA as a kaupapa Maori provider and is in the process of bringing Maori magic into our school.

Jireh is a member of the Auckland registered Master Builders Association, and has access to placements with over 40 companies associated with the boat building and constructions industry. Ninety-seven percent of our students who have gone straight into work have been placed into full time work with these companies.

Jireh's Industry Advisory Committee includes BCITO representative Richard Mason, BITO’s General Manager Chris Van De Hor and Ian Cook from the Marine Industry Association. Jireh has a Memorandum of Understanding with both the Boating Industry Training Organisation with links with the Marine Industry Association and the Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation.
